Introduction of KSA
The Korean Standards Association (KSA) was established in 1962 according to the industrial standardization law and has been a pioneer in the field of standardization and quality in Korea. KSA conducts corporate education concerning industrial standardization and quality management, performs certification for KS and ISO, develops techniques for quality as well as management innovation, publishes domestic and foreign specifications, and hosts various workshops and seminars, contributing to the improvement of the competitiveness of Korean companies. We are proud that our efforts have made a small, but significant contribution to Korea achieving one trillion US dollars in trade and becoming the world’s 8th largest trade powerhouse. Based on all of this, KSA is making efforts to expand global cooperation services so that Korean standards and quality can become the world’s standards and quality. Standards and quality have now become basics as well as a point of direction for both products and services. In response to the paradigm shifts manifested in big data, the Internet of Things (IoT), Smart Factory, etc., KSA is transforming itself as a creative force for new standards as well as new means for quality management. In addition, KSA is continuing to transfer large-sized companies’ know-how on quality management to medium and small-sized companies.
As an icon of innovation in Korea, KSA will strengthen its function as a partner for its clients through innovations and improvements in various fields. KSA will faithfully fulfill its public duties given by the government as well as the Korean people as a partner in the standardization and quality management of conglomerates, small and medium sized companies, and high potential enterprises. For this purpose, KSA will continuously endeavor to enhance its capacity as a means for connecting academia, research institutes, the government and companies. KSA will listen to customers and establish itself as an organization that is well respected by the Korean people and by Korean companies.

All KSA executives and staff will do their best to become a true partner that cooperates with every individual Korean national as well as companies and the government in their development. Thank you.
